Crescent Beach Club Brides??

Any Crescent Beach Club brides out there?? Looking for ideas and reassurance!

If any of you are torn about the issue of B&G seeing each other before the Cer., understand where the superstition comes from. Centuries ago, marriages were arranged between 2 Fathers looking to swap land for some cows, or whatever. If the handsome prince got a look at the ugly daughter, he would blow the deal. Today that only remains as a superstition. A smart photographer lets the B&G have a few moments alone when they first meet. It is also a great time for some unobtrusive candids.

Surely I am not a bride... but I attended a wedding at the Crescent Beach Club last July. I thought it was great. They had the ceremony on the grounds, outside. Their pictures came out gorgeous with the sunset in the background... and I really enjoyed the food. Hope this helps a little!! GOOD LUCK... Brendan

YEAH!!!! Congrats - when are you getting married? I too am a CBC bride, and am getting married August 4, 2000 (time is flying). We dealt with Bill Meis. We loved the place, and are getting married on a Friday night. We asr using a band that Crescent recommends - Rainbow Orchesta. They are fantastic, and fantastically priced!!!! I think we will be doing a beachy type of look for the tables, a little hard to describe and visualize; wispy and twiggy wreaths with wildflowers woven into the wreath with pillar candles in the middle. Who knows though, I changed my mind twice already, but I think i am sticking with this idea. Please let me know your details - i will happily share any ideas and would love to hear yours. let me know what your date is...Good Luck, jeanine

Yeah, so nice to hear from someone excited about CBC too!! We are getting married on April 15th 13 days but who's counting!! I am actually doing the tables now. We are using Tulips for the center! we dealt with Billy Gazzero he is now gone, so now we have Art McMillan? Who is your photographer?? Wer used Creative Compositions in Oyster Bay. Are you from the Bayville area??

They have two rooms. Our room has a room max of 240, and we had to guarentee 150 min. I think the other room upstairs is a bit bigger.

I'm getting married at the CBC 8/20/00. I, too, fell in love with the place! I'm using lots of daisies and my colors are a soft yellow and white. I was think about using pillar candles too. Glad to hear positive things. I still have to pick a florist and photographer. Our band is Boc and Blu. Please let us know how things go for you. I'm sure it'll be wonderful. Yeah!! It is so nice to hear positive things!!! My photographer is Creative Compositions in Oyster Bay and my florist is Imperial Floral designs in Oyster Bay as well. They both have worke th CBC many times and we know them from living in the area. 11 days for me!! I will tell you all how it went!! Wish me luck!

Brenda, who are you using as your photographer? We booked Doug at the Lindenhurst location.
