Crescent Beach Club - Chapter 11???!!

I just heard from my hairdresser that Crescent Beach Club is in Chapter 11. Has anyone else heard of this??? She has a tendency of speaking before she has all the facts, so I'm hesitant to take her at her word. We haven't signed our contract yet - so I have time to do my homework...

I've searched all over the web (including LIW), and I don't see anything to indicate financial trouble. I've even checked the legal notices of Nassau County, knowing that anyone who seeks Ch. 11 protection must file a legal notice.

I think my hairdresser just likes to talk!!!

I think there is some confusion because the owner of the Crescent owns part of the company, Acclaim Entertainment. It was a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ. Acclaim filed for bankruptcy in August 2004. The Cresecent Beach Club is fine.
