Crescent Beach Club vs. Miller Place Surf Club

I think both of these venues are beautiful! I'm stuck on which one I should chose I have 120 guests and I'm worried it will be a tight fit in miller place on top of them not having many amenities to cater to the bride/groom and guests. On the other hand, the crescent beach club is more money but it comes with everything and is truly a dream wedding for me.

I guess it just comes down to saving 10,000 dollars and regretting my decision.

Or to just go for it because ...well You only get married once!


Does anybody have opinions on any of these two places? Pros and cons? Wedding experience?

I'm making a decision by Sunday and I would really appreciate some outside input:) Thanks so much!!!

Personally- i would say you only get married once- go for your dreams!! If you settle on 2nd best you will likely regret it!!!

I haven't had a personal experience with either, however, I know you will make the best choice for yourself!!

I only saw Crescent Beach Club, and it was beautiful. It was a little out of our price range, and didn't fit the more vintage theme of our wedding, but that was basically the only things that I didn't like about it. The ballroom is huge, with a lot of natural light, and you can't beat the outdoor area. The only thing that would have kept me from having a wedding there is that they open their restaurant during the reception, and I don't know how I'd feel about that.

Have you considered looking at other places?

I'd save that 10K to put towards a house. thats a lot of money!

That would be a great idea but I already have a house, and i just bought a new car last year.I know that's a lot of money and it would be nice to save it too. :/ I have looked at over 10 different places and nothing compared to these two for me. I am not familiar with Miller Place Surf club but we did look at Crescent. We liked it because of the outdoor space but felt the inside was dated and not our style. We considered doing their fully outdoor option with the after party bonfire but ultimately decided we could not spend a year stressing over wether the weather was going to cooperate or not since the whole wedding would hinge on it being outside. If you love it there I say go for your dream wedding... you only get married once!

I booked the CBC , I personally didn't care the inside but you make the inside yours, you bring flowers, you bring the music and I hope and pray that every bride will have great weather there. You can't beat that few.. And even if it does rain can you imagine how amazing the sky will look ?? Go with CBC its beautiful !! Good luck

My brother and SIL got married at MBSC. They told me they had almost 140 people, and I don't remember feeling cramped at all, so I would think 120 people would be just fine.

That being said, follow your heart. If you can afford it and you're in love with CBC, go for it!

we decided to do crescent beach club for sure! we booked it for Sunday labor day weekend in 2015 which brought down the cost Significantly. His parents surprised us and are paying for the tax and administrative costs! so we can still save some money :) Thank you everybody for your input!
