Crest Hollow Brides

Did anyone here who got married at crest hollow opt to use chaircovers w/ the sash? If so, did you use CH's vendor? Our CH rep. told us that since CH's chairs are shaped 'odd' that she'd only recommend we use the house vendor, whose lowest price was $650.00! We're only having about 150 guests.

If you didnt use the chair covers, are you sorry you didn't and how would you rate the overall appearance of your room without them? My mom suggested that since the chairs are a wine color, that I use the burgundy tablecloth with white lace overlay and matching burgundy napkins. She said this would compliment the chairs and eliminate the need for the chaircovers.

I still second guess if we should use the covers, and i know my fiance wants them (much more so than me). Any imput?

We didn't use chair covers and we used the Ivory linens. Quite frankly I didn't notice the chairs on my wedding day.

Great, that's what I figured. I thought the 650.00 could be used toward something more important.

I just wanted to add that I did notice the room looked gorgeous though!

My sister and cousin both had weddings at CHCC, and I dopn't tink either of them used chair covers. I didn't notice the chairs at all. I think they were pretty. I usually only notice if chairs are ugly. I think the money is better spent elsewhere on something eople will notice, like the tulle and lights for the ceiling or viennese, etc...or in your pocket!

i've been to few weddings at CH (i'm getting married there also) ... and i haven't seen anyone use chair covers yet..

The room is so pretty and I feel the chairs just blend in. I'm sure the room will look even nicer w/ chair covers, but if you don't use them, noone would even notice it!

So IMO don't waste $ on chair covers. I would do a chocolate fountain instead

I used to work there. I only worked a handful of weddings that had the chair covers. The new chairs that they have now are nice. They aren't the old large burgundy chairs anymore. On the new chairs, the only thing that is burgundy is the seat. The back of the chair is a nice gold color. In my opinion its elegant looking and it goes great with the decor of the rooms.

Hi- I'm getting married there in July. I love CH but their chairs don't go with my beach theme. I am having a lot of blue, white and green. Mitch is my BM and he told us about their house vendor. We found out that they only sell ivory and that there are no other choice colors. We really want white to brighten things up a bit. So I am in the process of looking elsewhere for covers. I actually have an appt on Sunday with a chair cover company vendor on this site and she is bringing me samples to see wich ones fit best on those oddly shaped chairs. She is also charging 4.50 including cover, sash, set up and break down.

Hi,

My wedding is booked at Crest Hollow April 2010. We booked the Plaza Room. I see most people who have booked at CH have booked the Star light room. Am I missing something? LOL. I loved the way the Plaza Room looked with the lighting and the outdoor balcony (good for those smokers) And the fact that it is on the other side, by itself.

I'm still undecided about doing the ceremony there. They do offer plenty of picture taking time before the ceremony; however, I'm really not keen on having my fiance see me before I do the walk down the aisle. Does anyone have any comments about having the ceremony at CH?

Does anyone have any recommendations for DJ/MCee's or flowers from any of CH recommendations?

I've so many questions :)

Aww your wedding is the day after mine!! 8-) I liked all the rooms but the starlight room fit me more. I felt it was more intimate. It has a balcony also. I would have had the ceremony there but FH was adamant on having a church wedding,

I am actually getting married at crest hollow in june 2010 and i am going to be in the Plaza Room too!! lol the second i saw that room i knew it was PERFECT.. it is so amazing looking with the chandeliers and the tulling, especially the large outdoor deck with the staircase leading to the pool. i also love how all of the guests tables will be against the windows overlooking the pool. The starlight room was beautiful too but i felt it was a little small for what i had in mind. i am having a pretty small wedding 130-150 but i love having a lot of space and havig the big dance floor. So goodluck and don't worry Plaza room is amazing!

We are getting married at Crest Hollow 8-1-10! We are also booked in the Plaza room and having the ceremony outside. They didn't tell us the CH room yet. I also liked the windows and the balcony in the Plaza room. My FH and I immediately liked that room better than the Starlight, and we brought my mom back and she agreed. Which is the Emerald room? They only showed us the starlight, the plaza, and the grand ballroom.

HI GIrls,

I have a vendor that was passed on from a fellow Crest Hollow bride that has a GREAT price on chair covers and sashes. So if you feel the need to cover them, this might be the way to go. Personally, I don't mind the chairs so much. My theme is gold so I think they might actually go well in the room but then again my mind is changing everyday so I might decide to cover them afterall.

Anyway, just FM me if you want the contact info.
