Crest Hollow Brides

Just a few quick questions for any of you Crest Hollow Brides. For your liquor selection with the vodka, did everyone have the absolute or were other choices given without an extra charge? Our families are big on the vodka and well Absolute is not there number one choice.
How about the cake? Was it free or did you have to pay for it and if it was free was it just three round tiers with no design?
Last question.
Do you get to take any left over food home with you from dinner and Venetian hour?

TIA!

Re: Crest Hollow Brides

Our vodka was upgraded to Grey Goose. Other hard liquor was also upgraded to top shelf. Don't know the names of those though. It was all free of charge.
Their cake is normally four tiers (and free). They do like cute white flowers around it and small decorative touches. Definitely nothing fancy. I requested three tiers and square, and it was no charge. Maybe you can ask to use different color icing for the flowers?
And we got VERY little food. No food from the cocktail hour at all. I think we only got the leftovers (can you still call them that if we didn't have a bite? lol) from our table. And ALOT of cakes (we got the venetian table).
We're picking up our proofs tonight, if there's a pic of the cake there, I'll post it here.

forgot to ask... how did you get upgraded to top shelf?

Well, we didn't ask for it ... but we did do a russian menu, and the banquet manager said that the absolut is standard but knowing that russians don't settle for any vodka other than Grey Goose, he'll upgrade it for us for no charge. (lol can we say sales line?) And when we came in 25 people under our minimum, the boss let him gives us top shelf as freebie as well.
They're very accommodating there, I'm sure if you tell the BM that other brides you know got upgraded to Goose for no charge, they'll probably go along with it.
Still waiting for the pics =)

Truthfully I'm not even sure what brand was there. It was supposed to be Grey Goose since I had the 'top shelf premium package' but I never looked...

The cake was free as long as you didn't do anything too crazy with it. I had four tiers and requested no flower piping or anything. I gave them a pink satin ribbon which they tied around the bottom of each tier and then flowers were placed on top of the cake.

I didn't get any left overs from dinner, but they packed up the leftovers from Venetian. My guests were pigs so I only got 2 small cheesecakes and 2 chocolate cakes - they were DELICIOUS.

I can not recommend CHCC enough, they were awesome. (My review will be up shortly, hopefully...)

Yes, you have to count yourself and FH in the final number.

Haha you make me feel better that I'm not the only procrastinator... Although truthfully I haven't received all of my things back yet to review (for example, the video or my photo album)...

We upgraded to Grey Goose for an extra charge, but it was a must. I know others were able to negotiate it for free, but we did get other things thrown in instead. The cake was free, I didn't really care about the cake, just had one request that they got rid of the flowers around and to decorate it in a cascading manner, but I guess they forgot my request. Wasn't a big deal, but would have preferred it to look different. My review is up, but I am enclosing a pic of the cake as well.

Yep
My goal was to erase most of the trace of red and have the room lit with lights and candles and white linens and flowers.

did you get the chair covered through CH? Or did you go through a linen company directly?

Re: Crest Hollow Brides

I got the covers through Crest Hollow, but they work with some independent company so you have to make sure that you pay cash in advance.
