I dont know if you will be able to do it yourself because they ask for insurance....

when i booked he said it wouldn't be a problem. we only asked cause of that thing on the contract saying you have to use one of there venders.

These people had different stories for everyday bride they book. I was told that it could not be an individual like an aunt or a friend cause they would HAVE to provide proof of insurance. Anyway as long as you they told you it would be ok.

you need insurance certificates from ALL your vendors (unless you use vendors from their recommended list). I booked with flowers by brian and couldnt be happier...also since it is a house vendor I do not need to have them send over an insuracne certificate. however, my DJ & photographer needed too and it has been a hassle!

that's what i was told too, so if she is doing it by herself they will ask her for proof of ins.

how did you resolve the issue with your photgrapher and DJ?

Like was stated before, you have to have insurance for all of your vendors (unless they are from the Crest Hollow list - they keep those insurance policies on file).

I wanted to have my friend (who is a pastry school student) make my wedding cake, but they wouldn't allow it, because she didn't have the insurance.

At one point I asked if I could use an Ipod for my music and they said I'd have to sign a waiver.

Don't get me wrong...I LOVED Crest Hollow. I had a fabulous experience with them, and my wedding went off flawlessly. I have gotten nothing but compliments about CCHC too.

Oh...p.s. I used one of their recommended vendors (from woodbury)...and regretted it the whole time I was dealing with them. We worked out a great price. And the flowers turned out nice in the end...but I felt like they were condescending to me every time I talked to them. (Also, they never answer their phone...they'll only call you back)
