Crest Hollow Brides

Are you getting ready at a hotel or at crest hollow...If you are staying at a hotel, what hotel?

Thanks

Re: Crest Hollow Brides

we had a room block at the hilton garden inn, plainview. we got a shuttle from there for the guests so we just used that too. i got ready in the hotel room...more space in the hotel

edit: also, crest hollow only allows you in 2 hours in advance without charging you for additional time. if you plan to get hair & makeup done, you wont have enough time. if you just want to put your dress on then its do-able at chcc

I'm getting ready at a hotel first. We have a room block at the Hilton Long Island in Melville. We'll get ready there and then go to Crest Hollow for pictures and everything.

Thank you ladies,I will make a few calls to the near by hotels for their rates. The bridal suite that I seen when I first went to crest hollow was not that big but I heard there is a bigger one. Did any of you girls got to see the bridal suite yet?

Re: Crest Hollow Brides

I did a tasting of the cocktail hour food but the main courses. I have been there man times for events and the food has never been bad.

With regard to the quotes....it really depends on what time of year and what day of the week you were looking for. When I booked in 2010 we got pricing for April on Friday and Saturday and may on Friday and Saturday. There was a 30 a person difference from Friday in April to Saturday in may.

Ohhh thats a big difference. I really want a outdoor ceremony. Im trying to go with 70 pp with out the taxes and etc. I think that would be within my budget! What do you think??? I have to ck it out, Thanks again girly

Re: Crest Hollow Brides

In may I was quoted more than 70 a person. I also guaranteed 150 which also usually brings the price down but it does not hurt to go and talk with them.

i booked at the end of 2010, and i was def quoted over 70pp for spring

keep in mind may, june, sept and oct are up there as the most expensive months to book. you can get that price pp if you play with the dates and time.

i'm getting married the sunday of Columbus day weekend, it was the only way we were able to knock the price down and still get what we wanted.

Re: Crest Hollow Brides

Yes I agree it does depend on the time of year but I think it ranges from 62 a person and up

I did not do a tasting on the food yet but I believe you can only do cocktail and not main course. my FH did ask would it be possible for us to taste the main course but they said they only do cocktail. I went to a wedding there before but dont remember how the food taste, i was not thrilled with the food from woodbury country club :( when i went to a recent wedding so i hope it is much better lol

Jenny are you blocking a bridal suite plus a room for the girls to get ready?
I want the girls to get ready with me so I am not sure if I should block a bridal suite and one additional room.

i dont think they do tasting anymore...at least that is what my BM told me (she told me we could have one when we signed the contract but we never put it in the contract). i emailed her a few months later and she said she would do one when the wedding date was closer and when i contacted her a few months prior she said they dont do tastings.
but the food was delish! everyone is still talking about it

I'm reserving the full suite at the Hilton for myself and the girls can get ready with me in there. But they're not sleeping in there with me the night before-and then night of the wedding it'll be the honeymoon suite for FH and I.

Re: Crest Hollow Brides

Okay great idea...I think I may just do that. I called the hilton and I got a quote and today I spoke to someone at the marriot in plainvielle and got a quote. Marriot is a little cheaper than the hilton and supposedly the room is bigger. I may go with the marriot in plainville

No you dont have to use their vendors...They would prefer for you to use their florist but you can have speak to with whomever you are working with and let them know the florist you want to use.
