Crest Hollow Brides!

Do we HAVE to use the preferred florist? I called a bunch of florists today that are not preferred and all of them have stated that they had just recently did a wedding at Crest. One of them was asking why I wanted to use silk since it is more expensive and I told them thats CH's policy and he laughed saying I just did a wedding there last week. Don't worry about it.

The price they are giving me is way under what the preferred florists have quoted me. What do you girls think? Do you think I should go with it? Who are you using?

When I went to see my room they were setting up fresh flower CP's and the vendor was not one of the preferred florists. I am confused!

When you sign the contract there is something in there about only using the preferred florists. You can get them to make a notation saying you can use another florist, though. That's what we had our BM do, and we're not using one on the list.

Yea at the time I told my BM that I was going to do my own CPs and I didn't want to use the preferred one. I don't recall her noting that though

i never heard of the silk flower thing, and i know plenty of brides who did not use any of their florist, myself being one, i actually made my own CP's
even tho you signed saying you would you can always call back and get it changed, they make it sound like its a bigger deal then it is and you will prob have to call a few times but in the long run you just have to sign something else. and in worse case let your bridezilla flag fly! my favorite line was 'if you want me using your florist you can pay the extra since ALL your florists are over my budget'

but the silk flower thing is a new one... they cant tell you how you can and cant style your wedding, remember YOU ARE PAYING THEM YOU ARE THE BOSS! you are doing them the favor of having your wedding there. the customer is always right

When we were signing off our contract, I was told by my BM, Sharon ( she no longer works there ) that I can just sign it and if I'm using an outside vendor to just call her and she can just make a note about it. When I finally found an outside florist, they insisted that I couldn't use them because it was written on my contract that no outside florist. be sure you have it documented if ever use outside florist. However, I ended up working with Flowers by Brian. They were great. My tall centerpieces came out beautiful. They also work within your budget. I booked with Fabiola and she was a sweetheart

As far as I know, Tom, our BM told us we MUST use one of their preferred florist. I'll be going to their showcase next week to check some out. Distinctive seems great!

There is a clause in the contract. If you do not negotiate it out of the contract you have to use one of their preferred vendors. I would make sure that if they agree that you can use someone else you get it in writing!
