crest hollow - candle and petal question

will crest hollow help light candles on my centerpieces or do they not do anything w/ them?

also- do they allow petals to be strewn on the runner during the ceremony?

i would ask my BM but he's off today and tomorrow and i always remember these little questions when he isn't at work!
