i dont know what owg looks like, but you will have a garden setting to take pics in...so paying for something similar seems like a waste...unless your photographer tells you he wants more than 2 hours for pics. i would ask your BM to put in the contract that you can go take photos at x, y and z locations. i didnt know the locations so i didnt specify anything. warning about poolside photos...the pool is open to the country club members so you cant go there for pics (well you can but youll have strangers in your photos) til after 6pm. our photographer pulled us out of the reception for some night time pool pics
That's fine, I don't mind getting pulled out of the reception for those pics bc I was planning on that anyways (I want some with the nighttime lights). I will deff speak to my BM about the photography locations though. I'm not sure if he will add it to the contract though, but I'll try!

I was also told that we would be escorted by golf cart through the grounds to take pictures. I am really annoyed now. Both times I went to pay deposits, there was a wedding going on, and it looked like they were cordoning off only a small area for pictures. We always stop in on weeknights, so there's always only one wedding going on. Has anyone stopped by on a weekend with more than one wedding?

on weekends they do have multiple affairs.... on my wedding night i believe there were 2 other wedding taking place - but there may have been 3 on the bright side, i didnt even know other parties were going on. we ran into one bride/bridal party when they were walking in from pics (they seemed to have finished as we started). its annoying though bc the bridal attendant and matire d use walkie-talkies to make sure you can walk from one place to another.
back to the picture locations...it seems (from what i saw and from what my photographer told us after the fact) there are three main areas and they are all right by the pool...one behind it, one to the right and one to the left. all walking distance. no need for golf carts or anything. and they basically give each bride one location and that is it. when we went to go to another location it was used and we didnt have time to wait around.
