Anyone feel the same way (or felt the same way if you've had your wedding there?)..... so here's my story: I have been a little disappointed with them lately. When I went back for my final meeting.. they did not inform me they now have uplighting in EVERY ROOM so I cancelled my uplighting company but still lost out on my deposit... they also REFUSED to tell me what other events are going on the same night.. they kept saying we dont know, giving me the run around for MONTHS and finally they said 'for privacy reasons' they wont tell us the other events! Really?? It's not like I want to know who they are or crash their events. It was really only bc my mom made bathroom baskets and I didnt want little bar mitzvah kids or tweenagers at a sweet 16 throwing tampons around and ruining the basket ya know? I could care less if it's a party of all adults. I know they keep things separate, so I dont understand what this big privacy issue is. They also wouldnt tell us what room our cocktail hour was in until my father went in there and made a big stink that he wasnt leaving until he knew. I just wanted to know- is there anything wrong with that????? They should be able to tell me, given the fact that my wedding's this THURSDAY! They are being very secretive and shady lately, so I am very nervous that my wedding will not be all I hope it will be. I really hope I come back with better news.... right now I am NOT a happy bride.

Re: Crest Hollow Country Club
With regards to number of events at a time, different BM's have told me different things, which REALLY upsets me, but since you have yours on a Thursday, I don't think you should be too concerned. each time I went to CH on a weekday, there was only one event going on and it was very private.

Re: Crest Hollow Country Club
i had the same frustration while i was there...all they ended up telling me was that i had three other events taking place the same night as mine. I believe they dont tell you what events they are bc they dont want you to freak out or feel that you wont be the center of attention...they have this policy that no two brides will see each other and they do everything to enforce it! they wont let you walk from one room to the next without using a walkie talkie to see if the path is clear. i wasnt happy either that i didnt know but in the end it worked out...until i was leaving and saw another bride i did in fact feel like i was the only bride there bc they were very attentive. regarding the bathroom baskets, my bm told me not to make them for that reason...forgetting that a bar mitzvah or sweet sixteen may take place, but you could also have another wedding taking place which has kids invited who will ruin the baskets too...crest hollow provides that stuff anyway. oh and we didnt know what room our cocktail hour was in til that day...but they tell you that when you sign the contract...you pick the room for the reception but the rest they decide that day basically so i expected not to know. realistically it made no difference...what if they told me 3 days in advance and i hated the room...there is ntohing i could do about it. try not to stress over this...crest hollow really does go above and beyond and your wedding will be perfect

I dont blame you for being upset. I would have done the same thing. I don't see what the big deal is with regards to telling you what type of 'event' it is. It's not like your asking them for their names LOL Hope eveything works out for you. Don't stress. Enjoy your wedding

Re: Crest Hollow Country Club
Yeah my dad will DEFINITELY notice anything and everything they said they'd do and didn't... and he will surely complain lol but he won't do it in front of me at least...I noticed they did that when they told us they serve the salad as the guests are sitting down then the next time we were there we were brought into a room that was set up for a wedding (the wedding had started in another room already) and I commented that the salads were already out. The BM said, 'Oh... the ceremony is almost over that's why.' ugh so frustrating.

Re: Crest Hollow Country Club
def give a list...and make sure you include that you expect xx number of seats at the cocktail hour as promised (they had maybe half the amount of seats we needed at my ch). and if they said they would serve the salad def put that on the list...our salads were waiting on the table when the guests arrived into the room.

Re: Crest Hollow Country Club
well I had to deal with the wonderful Leo while sharon was out on leave.... when I met with him I told him, 'Please DO NOT give out beer bottles, it is so tacky.' and he replied 'We NEVER do that, it is trashy.' Take a look at my pic from my wedding:

Re: Crest Hollow Country Club
awesome listening skills leo... I already emailed him that picture. And I asked the maitre'd to tell the bartenders to stop giving them out but that picture was taken at 12:45am (15 min before the wedding ended).... so they DON'T listen to you.
