I am having a twilight party (sunday from 4-10) so we are in the Starlight room...

Who are people working with? We are with Tom and WE LOVE HIM...so sweet and very helpful and patient. My favorite part is the outside area so I am praying that we have good weather.

What?!?!?! When I signed the woman said they do tastings but when I called last week they told me they don't and I was really mad! Right now we don't have a banquet manager because the one we signed with is no longer there. Who is your BM? Maybe I'll request to have him/her and we can finally get our tasting!

Hey Ladies...I'm a CHCC bride for July 2008.
I'm in the Plaza as well...abs. fell in love with that room. The Emerald room is also gorgeous!!

I've signed up with Fortunoff to get the free Martini Bar. My BM mentioned the martini bar to me, but failed to mention the certain types of liquor we were getting at our wedding. I was a bit surprised to find out from other brides on this site that some of the liquors for the regular bars were not going to be present on our wedding day.

Had a minor issue with the BM, but she quickly resolved it.

Ladies..I was also told that CHCC doesn't do food tasting. If one of you can FM me and let me know how to get a food tasting, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Hi girls, I am in the Starlight room on March 28th, 2008. I booked with Mitch and am now working with Helen for food choices...just booked last sunday and am trying to get everything in gear at light speed. Does anyone know if that Fortunoff/Martini bar offer is still in effect? Thanks!

I don't think the Martini bar is being offerred anymore b/c when I spoke to my BM last month she said it wasn't. I had called to confirm whether or not she received my fax with my registry to add the Martini Bar, and she said it's a good thing that she did b/c that offer doesn't exist anymore. I could be wrong, but you may want to ask your BM and hopefully they can throw it in for you.

I asked about a food tasting and my BM (Mitchell) said I dont need one they have been around for a long time and have great food. Dont know if Im going to insist on one yet.

I was told the same thing regarding food tasting. My BM said that she's going to set a date up with me to food taste on the day of someone elses's wedding. This way the chef can cook a little extra so that I can have a food tasting. As for liquor, here are the liquors that they consider premium/top shelf: Absolute, JW Black, Captain Morgan, Dewars, Seagram’s Seven, Canadian Club, Bombay, Jack Daniels and Castillo.

I thought they were going to have everything given their reputuation, but that's one of the things they don't mention until you ask. I think it's sly but I guess you just have to know the right questions to ask.

oohhh....We are working with Tom Lauterborn and we love him!!! See if you could request him...He recommended we have a food tasting two weeks after we signed because he wouldn't want us to pay too much in if we didn't like the food....very thoughtful!

Thanks- I'll call up and ask about him. I'm not sure if I will be able to request a BM but I hope so! It's not fair- everyone else has a BM but the one I signed with no longer works there so they have me hanging by a string now and they are not telling me who my BM is until 2 months before the wedding. I'm so mad.

Oh, sorry, I wasn't talking about the food tasting. My parents went to a wedding there and I told them they were doing the food tasting that night. I was talking about the martini bar.

Sorry for the confusion!

My BM is Eric and he is a great guy. He is very nice and whenever I have a question he has an answer for me.
