I went to Crest Hollow tonight to talk to my banquet manager.
My reception is in the Plaza room. She basically said 'the marble is on a boat from Greece.' They're putting in a marble dance floor. And putting in a neutral color carpet.
She said they MAY change the chairs. The project was supposed to be completed by the end of this year, but it hasn't started yet. She said it will DEFINITELY be done by the time my wedding rolls around.
They also have ivory chaircovers (with ivory bow only) available now for $3 per chair.
And they have new linens - ivory and gold. You get one tablecloth but if you want them layered and festooned, it's an additional $5 per table.

I hope they redo my room too by my wedding :( i could live with the chairs if they change the carpets. we should be happy that we locked in our prices when we did becuase with all these renovations the prices are gonna go up!

Love the idea of neutral carpet!
Did they happen to mention anything about the Emerald room? I know they just recently renovated the lobby so I don't think that will be an issue.

I can't believe they didn't mention any of this when we were there checking it out... we even had gone TWICE, and no mention of any renovations! I'm sorry, but I would be way too nervous that the reno's wouldn't be done by the time of our wedding! good luck ladies, the marble floor is going to look AMAZING!!!!

I would generally be nervous, but when I booked they were doing the reno's on the outside, and they worked at lightning speed! We first started looking at the place when they started the renovations, and they were finishe by the time we booked (a couple of weeks)
Also, everything was cleaned up and out of sight for the events on the weekends. I'm more just concerned about it not being done before my wedding. I would love to have the new stuff!

I am surprised they didn't say anything to me either. I think it makes the room even better and I am not getting married until 2012 so no real chance that it would not be done before that. I will have to email my BM and see what she says.
