Re: Crest Hollow Price per person

we spoke with mitch. july 2012 afternoon is the cheap one but YOU CANNOT USE outside for cocktail hour because the club is still open.

so at night his first price was 101.50 for 225 for sat july night. plus 1,200 to set up for outdoor cocktail hour.

you do have to slit the outdoors with another wedding though. but its big enough that it woudlnt really matter in the end

WOW their prices really went up
They never mentioned a cocktail hour set up fee grrrr im going to be really aggravated if they tell me about it closer to the wedding date

kids under 5 are free and I think my contract says kids under 12 are like $20 off or something like that. not a huge discount but i didnt argue that point since i am literally having 2 kids there

That would be very upsetting if they would wait later to let you know about the set up fee, but if it not in the contract i think you are safe....

we booked with Mitch and to this day the only thing that annoys us with him was the fact that he waited til we were actually signing the contract to inform us about the extra charge for the outside cocktail hour. we were totally blindsided and i guess he could tell by the look on my FH face so thats when we got the talk 'if it rains you will get the money back, but we have limited outside space so we would need to know now if you want it. even if you change your mind that morning'

still dont understand why its SO much to move the same food you'd be eating inside to outside.

as of right now thats the only thing that we have bad to say about it, i still love the hall tho. that was just REALLY bad timing on his part

bumping this up for the crest hollow brides... any new info, pics, rants, raves????????????

Hi,
new info: i had to contact them for the kids price cause in my contract it says 1/3 off for kids under 10 ( meaning all kids regardless of ages) so i wanted to make sure that i was not going to pay for a 2, 3 or 4 year old.
Also i am working to see if i can have a nicer cake at a decent price, i hate the cake that comes with the package. They said they will get back to me on that.

we had to have them bring the kid price down too. i have 3 kids at the wedding my flower girl and 2 ring bearers btwn the ages of 1-4 yrs

on the plus side for the cake, at least it tasted good lol we asked to just have it smoothed out so we can add flowers on it or something

Same story with me, it's the day of the signing of the contract that couple of things were mentionned to me.
It's a very nice place and my BM is nice too but i wish they were up front with everything BEFORE signing th contract.
Did they tell you that you can not bring outside musician for the cocktail hour? I found out last week when i mentionned that i did not want their harpist ($450/hr)...

nothing was mentioned about music during cocktail hour. when we asked if we would need the dj during that time too we were just told. since its a shared space for the cocktail hour there is no personal music.

was never told about a harpist?
we just didnt mind cause i cant honestly remember hearing music at any cocktail hour for any wedding lol

Re: Crest Hollow Price per person

The harpist is optional. If you want to have music during the cocktail hour you can hire theirs for $450 per hr, if you dont want him you can't bring an ousider musician.

i wouldve said 'take off the fee I was never told that' I am such a stickler, thats messed up of him!!!!! I am just aggravated that things I didnt think of or know about (example uplighting, my obsession lol) will now cost me extra, meanwhile i prob couldve gotten it for less if i have negiotiated it into the contract.... the cake thing too-- i didnt know there was a choice?????

Re: Crest Hollow Price per person

They did not tell me that we couldn't bring anyone from the outside for our Cocktail Hour. The only thing they were requiring is that we use a house florist, which we have had sooo many problems with, I am ready to fire them. Any CHCC brides, which florist are you using? Stay as far away as you can from J*A*CK and R*O*SE

The list has changed over time. You have to look at the lust that you were given when you booked chcc.

I'm pretty sure July is not a peak month. We got married on a Sat. afternoon in July and paid a much lower price.

the same thing was written on my contract about the florist, if you dont want to use theirs just call your Banquet Manager and say that you cant do it because you have some problems with their preferred florists or any story that makes sense.

Me i said that i wanted to use my local florist because i am familiar with their work.

Just be firm, dont let them convince you otherwise...you'll see they will have to agree.
