i'm paying $86.50++ for first week in november friday night wedding (including viennese and hour of hospitality before cocktail hour)

i negotiated a ton though. base price without viennese or extras was $76 for friday night.

i called, they wont reduce the price but my banquet manager said that she will compensate me on other things.

To be honest after reading some of the responses i think the 86pp for a night time is not bad BUT what i did not mention earlier in the post is that they charged me extra to have a pool side cocktail hour, the explanation to that is that they just renovated the pool therefore they have to charge extra for it.

I did request to have the light change, they agreed to it at no charge but i dont have it in the contract because i did not think it was a big deal but now since they make you pay for it, i should have made sure that they put it in writing.
My BM is Helen...she is nice too.

it depends what you get too. We worked out a deal with them where they gave us an extra hour and the dessert hour and like 92(that was with taxes) We didnt like the idea of being in a wedding factory so we declined.

Plus i think that sand pit they have in the back is doomed for failure. all the high heels are going to have sand in them.

lol I will NOT being going near the sand pit AT ALL.. there are over 20 other acres of land to use...seriously whoever thought of that thing was a moron lol... but my wedding is in November so I have nothing close to a beach theme... Crest Hollow isnt so bad though.... I am getting married on the Thurs. before Veterdays Day and so far I am the only thing booked

Yeah, that's bull lol. My sister got married there in July of 2010 and charged her $600 extra to have an outdoor cocktail. It's not because they renovated, it's because they charge extra to set up outdoors, I'm not sure if they give everyone different reasons, or they just don't know what they are talking about. Anyways, it ended up raining, and they didn't have cocktail hour outside. They sent her a check for $600 a month after her wedding since they were unable to do it.

well i guess its good that they reimbursed her... they told me i could decide up to that day if i want to have my ch outside --free of charge-- weird (its november so i refuse to do it-- its never above 50 degrees at that time -maybe thats why they offered lol)

Hmm you never know! My friend got married in '08 the first week in November and it was 65 degrees!

I'm getting married in November too, I hope the weather is good. Just want to put it out to the universe lol.

this is in case your guests arrive earlier then the slated time that the CH begins. the RH provides some kind of beverage sometimes, some small snack so that guests are not left to twiddle their thumbs in the interim.
I am having this as well, however, my RH is not charging me for this.

Hi,
new info: i had to contact them for the kids price cause in my contract it says 1/3 off for kids under 10 ( meaning all kids regardless of ages) so i wanted to make sure that i was not going to pay for a 2, 3 or 4 year old.
Also i am working to see if i can have a nicer cake at a decent price, i hate the cake that comes with the package. They said they will get back to me on that.
