I have a question.. I visited 5 RHs this weekend..Crest Hollow, Fox Hollow, Larkfield Manor, Villa Lombardi's and the Watermill.
When we were talking to the lady at Villa Lombardi's she asked what other RHs we visited. She said that she was under the impression that Crest Hollow was closing.
Has anyone heard of this?

I heard Fox hollow was closing. I hope crest hollow isn't closing bc i booked my wedding is 4/2010 there.

ok this is not to offen anyone who booked with Villa Lombardis because they were my second choice and i fell in love with the place completely..however a BIG thing that kept me from booking with them was their BM and the way they all seemed to act when i met with them...Honestly they acted like used cars salesmen to me and the guy was not personably at all he honestly was so hyperactive i really think he hadda be on some type of speed that night...he pulled out this big book and was like well i can put you in this day and give you this deal and it was so not my style..you don't act like your selling me something like that...also he had one of the women come into the office too since their offices are joined and it was like they act this skit out with everyone who comes in thats the impression i got but he started bad mouthing foxhollow and westbury manor and watermill saying how the Scotto brothers use frozen hore dourves (w/e the spelling) and appetizers are from a box and nothing is freshly made...luckily when i told him i am thinking of going with cresthollow he had nothing to say and i told him they were giving me more than he was for a much better price and then we left.....but as he was badmouthing the other places the woman was like 'omg really? i cant believe the scotto brothers do that...we would NEVER do something horribe like that' and they just reallyyy turned me offf....i told my BM at cresthollow how he was talking about other places and he said that is so unprofessional for someone to ever do that and that is a really bad thing also because he said all those places have great reputations...so i just felt like giving my input since that women said she was UNDER THE IMPRESSION CREST HOLLOW WAS CLOSING because that is just another one of their BullSh*t ploys to make everyone think all other catering halls are inadequate compared to them....so as you can see their staff is actually what turned me off to them so don't believe anything they say. Its a shame since its such a beautiful place and i hear the food is great...i also saw a brides review on here and she complained about the staff giving her the run around the day of her wedding...ok im done lol

ITA... i just got married at Fox Hollow last month and there are ALOT of ladies on here who are getting married there this year and next year. At least I hope it's not true because there will be ALOT of disappointed brides out there

Thanks.. While we know that it's best to take the competitor's opinion about an RH with a grain of salt, it alarmed FH and I b/c we are considering the Crest Hollow.
Sorry if I scared anyone.. You know, it's possible that she got mixed up with Crestwood Manor. If I'm not mistaken I think that recently closed for renovations and reopened. I'm not sure b/c I haven't visited it (yet).
