Is anyone going to the crest hollow showcase on March 8th???

I'm not, but please let me know how the 'renovation' with the firepits look. Someone posted a while back saying they made some changes to the entrance, I'm dying to see pictures

IU saw the firepits this week and they look awesome!

Are they renovating any of the rooms? I've seen pictures of the outside and they take your breath away, but then I saw the rooms and didn't have the same reaction. Since most of your night will be spent inside and not out, I would like to be blown away by the room. FH and I are going to see it in person tomorrow and I guess we'll see then, if you guys don't reply before then. Showcase is still up in the air. Also, I'm not so keen on the idea of being charged for the outdoor cocktail hour when other places don't charge. Any advice? We will have seen 10 places after tomorrow and I'm overwhelmed, confused and becoming discouraged. I fall in love with a place then something happens and my heart is broken. I'm almost ready to quit.

They just redid the carpets and the dance floors in many of the rooms. I am having my reception in the Plaza Room and one wall is pretty much all windows overlooking the pool which I love!

Unfortunately they do charge more for the outdoor cocktail hour but you can always try to negotiate the price down a little there.

Every hall is going to have their pluses and minuses. There is no perfect hall. They may charge for the cocktail hour outside but they are very flexible with start times. I know Fox Hollow has certain rooms start at certain times and there is no changing it. That was a deal breaker for me.

I think you have to sit down and figure out what are your deal breakers and what are you able to deal with.

we're having ours in the Empire Room which is fully enclosed but has beautiful waterford crystal lights against mirrors on the wall. Like Mara said, every place has their plus and minuses, and one of the main reasons we chose our place was the huge dancefloor. Every other place we've gone to had beautiful decor, but very tight spacing.
