both are great places. it's more of what you want from a place my friend is in love with crest hollow. he thinks there is no better place on long island lol.

night and day really.

ok swan club has beautiful gardens, rooms are quainter and ceilings are a LOT lower.

CH is BIG! yes they have an outdoor area but nothing like swan club but if you've ever seen the rooms w uplighting...wow.

we go there every year for FH's xmas party. I won't lie and don't be mad, food is not consistent bu I highly doubt you're having like 500+ people there like they do. I think that's the issue.

It's never bad, it's just better some years.

How much is the difference in price? Will that help you make your choice?

Without any negotiation it is a 15 pp difference in price

I have never been to the swan club before but crest hollow is very pretty

The food options seem better at crest hollow. Seems to be more extras also like piano player when you come into the place.

then I'd go w CH.

have you seen those rooms all done up? FABULOUS!

Swan Club is beautiful but it's a much different kind of place..much more laid back in my opinion.

i actually ate lunch at the swan club to test out the food...the items with the * are the ones that would be on the dinner menu...maybe you should to that..

both venues are beautiful outside...i had my prom at crest hollow...pictures came out beautiful ...i was happy with the food there

I had lunch at SC also, it was ok. I don't know anything about CH. I would go with the place that offers more options and has the best feel for you and FH.

I been to swan club after i first got engaged. And they were extremely rude and nasty to me. I don't think they give you many options when it comes to food.

I had my prom at crest hollow and i remember the food not being bad. Its really up to you if you do not mind having multiple weddings at the same time. Since crest hollow does have so many rooms.

My prom was at CHCC too...in 87! Lol. Yeah im old!

We go there every year. Last time i was disappointed but i think FHs just was cheap this year.

We've looked at both, and they were both pretty high on our lists.

I loved Swan Club due to its grounds (a mix of water and gardens)--I also loved the idea that the ceremony was inside with an outside feel.

Crest Hollow: I had my prom there. It was of course fun. They have redecorated it since and the outside is GORGEOUS, very beach like with even fire pits.

Both places had GREAT people who seemed like they would work with us. Both are great options..

My best advice would be: Make a list of what you liked and didnt like at each place. If you cant figure it out from there. Then make a list of what each offers you for each part (CH, Ceremony, Reception, etc.) and the price. You will see what is giving you the most --I found that strategy most helpful when I was down to two :)

If all else fails, do a food tasting and pick which you like better (my only fear with that strategy is, who knows what happens to food quality in 2 years ha)!

Good luck and FM me if you want help.

Sorry you had such a bad experience at SC... not sure why.... They were never in the least bit ever rude or nasty to me... they were sooo accomodating and never bat an eye at any requests we had for our wedding... we thought the staff was awesome and treated us like gold... we went back there for our 1 yr to have lunch and they even supplied us with free champagne and a huge red velvet cake to take home on the house... so even after our wedding they have still been nothing less than amazing...

To the OP, I think you'd get better opinions by reading the reviews posted on The Brides Review board... if you read mine, i went into great detail concerning the swan club... you can find the lnk to it in my profile... HTH!
