Crinoline/slip question

I know this is a ridiculous question and the answer is probably so obvious. I have a maggie sottero and am wearing a poofy crinoline thingy underneath. The seamstress said that to stop the dress from creeping between my legs I should just get a cheap slip and put that on under the crinoline. I wanted to know if she means a short slip or long one. I guess it would be a long one but I wonder if anyone had experience with this and knows what works the best. My dress has a really pretty panel in the front of crystals and I want it to puff out, not slide between my legs. Thanks

I would assume to get the long one. I have a question too. My dress had some crinoline (sp?) built in but I don't want it too puffy so I don't want anymore. I really don't want to wear a slip either, the wedding is in Aug and the dress is hot enough already. Is it true that it goes between your legs? Do you REALLY NEED a slip?

I did not walk around long enough to really know how much goes between your legs but the few steps I did take, it did go a little between my legs. It would probably be more comfortable for you to have the slip in the hot weather considering that crinoline feeling is not too pleasant when you are sweating, just a thought. I would imagine since it is scratchy it would get annoying.

That is true but the middle of my dress is smoothe and I don't want the lines from the slip to be visible. I don't want to wear a corset or one of those long bra thingys, just a strapless bra. My dress fits, but it FITS like, I dont have too much room to gain in the next 309 days!!! Thanks Fran for your help
