Cornbeef & cabbage comes out excellent in the crockpot !!! Make sure you add 1 can of beer.

We have also made loin of pork in it, and it come sout very tender. Put carrots, potatoes, onion, and watever other veggies you like

Just put in salt, pepper, adobe (I put this on everything), and a little water. Since it is cooking all day the flavors from the veggies and pork all come together and make an excellent gravy. don't forget the onion though !

Re: Crock Pot Recipes!~

1 lb. stew beef (cubed)
1 can beef broth
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 envelope onion soup mix
(I add fresh sliced mushrooms as well)

Leave on low for 6 hours.
Serve over egg noodles. I like to serve fresh steamed greenbeans on the side as well.

Re: Crock Pot Recipes!~

I found a really yummy Chicken Pot Pie recipe that is supposed to be low fat:

It says it serves 8, but it serves maybe 3 or 4, lol.

Ingredients:
16 oz. Boneless, skiness chicken breast
2 10-3/4 oz. cans of 98% Fat Free Cream of Chicken Soup.
1 Cup of onions finely diced
7.5 oz. can small lower fat biscuit (like pillsbury reduced fat)
3 cups mixed veggies

1. Place chicken, soup, and onion in slow cooker and fill with enough water to cover.

2. Cover slow cooker and cook for 4-6 hours on high or 7-8 hours on low.

3. Tear biscuits into 4 pieces. About 30 minutes before serving stir in frozen mixed veggies and place biscuit dough on top of mixture.

4. Cook until dough is no longer raw in center. (If cooking on high, should take about 30 minutes.

Enjoy!

I have yet to break mine out of the box, but I got both of the Sandra Lee Semi-Homemade slow cooker recipe books in anticipation. Highly recommend checking them out, the recipes look delicious! Plus her other books are great and I have used those recipes, so I can vouch.
