Re: CrockPot - Brownie Bottoms Recipe

Just wanted to update .. I tried this recipe tonight .. and it was yummy .. this is especially for those who LOVE chocolate.

One slight alteration I made .. I sprinkled broken-up walnuts before covering.

I'd think you'd be okay .. but maybe wait to add the eggs for when you're ready to cook.

Here's the dopey fiasco I had in making mine .. I bought instant pudding instead of cook-&-serve .. and when starting to put things together .. I didn't think this type of recipe would use instant pudding .. so after I already had the mixture in the pot (no heat yet) .. and the dry ingredients in a separate bowl .. I went running out to the store (at least a 1/2-hour) .. and it still turned out wonderful!!

I used the cook-and-serve chocolate pudding .. and for the brownie mix .. I used some 'Dark Chocolate' thing .. came with a Hershey's syrup packet .. in following the recipe, apparently it was too much brownie mix .. so I adjusted the amount of syrup as well .. silly me should have just used the whole brownie mix & syrup .. because I 'm sure it would have been just fine! (I'll try it that way next time - maybe this weekend!! - YUM YUM!).

By the way .. keep in mind .. the recipe calls for the dessert to sit for 30 minutes after it's finished cooking for 1 1/2 hours .. but BE CAREFUL .. mine was still VERY HOT despite sitting for at least 40 minutes.
