A Crockpot and slow cooker are the same think. It plugs in and you can put your food in there before work and cook it for 4-10 hours.
Pressure Cooker is on top of the stove pot and it cooks food faster then normal.
Hope that helps.

That's really what they are made for. I have been leaving it for years, but some people are afraid. They have different size ones, try not to get the small one because you can't fit a roast in it so easily, or a chicken for that matter.

Yes, you can use a slow cooker when no one is home. A pressure cooks cooks food under pressure obviously . You put food in the pressure cooker with some type of liquid (wine, broth, etc), put the cover on tight and then pressure builds up. It leaks out through a valve. I make Beef Bourgignon with it - it's so good! The meat gets super tender. It makes really good risotto too - no stirring needed!

What about if you're gone for like 11 hours? Won't the food overcook?

starhead - I have the same question. I am gone for over 12 hours on a regular day - what happens then does it turn off and your food gets cold and soggy or does it overcook?

After the amount of time ends 4.6,8,10 hours it turns to warm and stays on warm until you shut it off.
