Cross your fingers for no rain on Sunday

Sorry - just venting right now... My engagement party (very long in the making) is Sunday - 70 people in my future parents-in law's back yard. And after 10 days of predicting a beautiful day, it's now predicted that there will be rain and clouds! And there's no way 70 people are fitting in their house! Sigh.... It just seems like nothing is going right! Since we got engaged my FH lost his business & his father was diagnosed with cancer. Can we at least have a day of sun??? OK... I've vented... Other than that, I'm excited that my parents will be in from AZ and that we'll be going gown shopping on Monday :-) Gotta think positively! thanks for listening...

I just want to let you know I ruined my E. Party b/c I let so many things that went wrong get to me and right before everyone started coming in I ran to the bathroom in tears... Looking back it is not any of the things that went wrong (and a lot did) that bother me it is only that I let them ruin my time. Please take it from me even if it rains everyone is going to think it is great and you will probably look back and laugh about 70 people jambed together. I am sorry to hear about the other issues but these little things that we let bother us are so unimportant - I will always regret that - so please try and remember what is important and it's not the weather... but I will say a little prayer for you anyway!! Cross your fingers for no rain on Sunday- DON'T WORRY

My engagement party was on Memorial Day weekend.. it rained all weekend long.. the day before, I went to have my hair done, only to get it wet from the rain, so when party time came it was all kinky and frizzy, I was so upset.. It rained the morning of my party. it was supposed to rain all day long.. but suddenly when the cocktail hour began, the rain stopped, the sun was shinning, and now instead of being rainy and cold, it was warm and sunny.. but the bottom line is nothing mattered.. All our 60 guests had a wonderful time, rain or shine, and the day was such a blur for me, it went by so fast.. don't worry.. if it rains, people will still have a great time.. just smile, enjoy your guests, because you only have one engagement party!!!! and it goes by in a flash.. I can only imagine how fast the wedding will pass.. Just to let you know when the sun came out, everyone still stayed inside, because it was too warm to be outside..lol... people are there to see you and your fiance, they don't really care about the weather!!! :-)
