I don't know anything about the Jubilee in particular. What ports are you going to?

We've taken three cruises and I generally find the excursions not to be worth it. We usually go out on our own, whether we're literally by ourselves or we go through an independent tour company. I suggest you check out cruisecritic.com. It's a terrific site with member reviews that you can read for opinions about the ship, ports, etc. They have a great section about what to do in the different ports and the site seems pretty independent-it doesn't plug any particular line or destination and the 'best of' section for each port seems to have no correlation with the excursions offered by the cruise lines.

i was going to recommend cruisecritic.com also. it's an awesome site!! the people on there will tell you which excursions are worth it, which aren't. sometimes it does pay to book with the cruise line, but most times it doesn't. for our HM, only 2 days out of 10 did we do an excursion booked through the cruise. the rest i had booked privately through my research on cruisecritic. we also were able to connect with other HM'ers for a GTG on our cruise, so you also had other people to have drinks and dinner with if you wanted company.

good luck!!!!
