Cruise experience?

Has anyone taken a cruise out of NY or NJ that they would recommend? What cruise line? where would you go? Only been on Carnival and have nothing to compare to. Please share information with me. Thank in advance.

I took a Norwegian cruise in Aug to the Bahamas.
liked- free style dining.... meaning you don't have to set a time for dinner unless u ho to a special restaurant. and the adult only spa, never seen anything like it. it's at the front of the boat with huge fabulous views off the ocean. abd a giant pool that's a Jacuzzi with special massaging jets. hard to describe I would look it up.

personally I'm not a fan of cruises only bc I want to see the island I'm going to....we were in Nassau for 8hrs maybe!
