what do u guys think i should do- go on a cruise or vaction? i'm thinking i can do more on a vacation but a cruise is probably cheaper? Ahhh i dont know. i know either way it will be great

I was thinking the same thing but It is going to be my first and maybe only time in Hawaii so I want to stay there rather then eat & sleep on a cruise. I don't want to be on a time schedule on my honeymoon. But it is probably cheaper to do it that way and I'm sure a great time. I love cruises.
I'd vote for vacation to hawaii.

i was dead set on a vacation. We had doena cruise before and loved it but we wanted something else- but i recently changed my mind I am currently looking into a tahiti cruise( i've been wanting to go to tahiti- but the price scares me!) Since they have a cruise to tahiti- it gives us the ability to check out the beautiful islands we wanted to see and not ever worry about meals or outrageous prices! I also like that i dont have to pack and unpack every 3/4 days- which is what will happen when you go to a place like Hawaii
it really depends on where the cruise is going.. if its to the carribbean, i wouldnt do it- the carribbean is affordable enough to vacation there- but if it is to europe, or tahiti, cruise all the way!

We wnt on a cruise for vacation (we got engaged on the cruise).. If you are looking to just to lay by a pool and relax... A cruise is nice, but We are very adventurous, we were bored.
We decided to go to Hawaii for our Honeymoon, we figured when are we going to get a chance to go back to Hawaii, besides we plan on getting pregnant next year..
We are going Scuba Diving(4 times) Horse back riding/waterfall picnic, The road to hana sunrise mountain bike tour hiking up diamond head
and don't forget Pearl Harbor
Very exciting stuff.. and we still have 5 days of nothing but relaxing....
If your FH is into sitting by a pool, then the cruise, but if you want to go somewhere that you might not get the chance to go again... Hawaii

Vacation . There are so many things to do and see. I do not like having to worry about getting back for the boat, etc. Plus I get sea sick

Go for the vaca this is a one time opportunity for you and your new hubby to be alone and indulge in something wonderful together. splurge a bit and enjoy it especially after all the hard work you put into the wedding!!!

My FSIL went to Hawaii on her honeymoon and she said she wishes she went on the cruise instead b/c they would have saved ALOT more money and most likely seen alot more as well.

do the vacation, I've been there before, and there is just too much to see that you won't be able to do if you're always running back for the ship to go to another island. We were toying with the same thing, until I realized that we wouldn't be able to just relax. I've been on cruises before, and I find myself not seeing the island, just worrying about what time the boat leaves.

There are pros and cons to both. On one hand, a cruise is virtually AI and can be cheaper, AND you can see more than one place.
On the other hand, you don't get much time at each stop and you're kind of 'stuck' on the boat.

If it were me, I'd choose the vacation. You are going to just want to chill. Going on a cruise is wonderful, but for your honeymoon there is something nice about staying put in one place, unpacking, and just relaxing and being with FH. I love cruises....but there are a lot of other distractions on them. They're very social and having just finished your wedding, its time to concentrate on each other. This is just my opinion.......

I think you would really enjoy a vacation because Hawaii has so much to see and do however I have to say you will be spending more $ on land.
I think that you'll be able to experience more if you stayed on the island. I was thinking of the cruise also and people who have gone to Hawaii said that were happy that they had the few days per island to explore.
