Cry Packets

Anyone who has done them, why type of 'packet' did you use? Glassine or Vellum?

Great thread! I love these cry packets by Helen 05. Does anyone know how to make these?

That look like the same pattern that is on martha stewarts web site... it shows how to fold the paper.

These were mine. I didn't use packets, I actually rewrapped individual tissue packs and printed clear labels on the computer.

I've just searched Martha's Stewart site and I couldn't find it. Do anyone know the link?

Re: Cry Packets

I just saw these for the first time today and I think we are going to use them. I am just not sure how to make them. It seems like its easiest to re-wrap travel size ones, but I think I want to make the actual cry packets from scratch. Any ideas about how to make them?

Okay, so I just tried to make one (with regular computer paper) and I was all confused. I tried creasing it and everything. I ended up doing it differently, but I think it will work. Now the question is how many tissues to put in each one? Maybe 5 pieces?

That's a good question... I made all my pouches and still have yet to fill them...

Anyone?

103005Fallbride,

Did you have any problems following the Martha Stewart directions? Maybe I'm just slow...

What type of paper did you use for your pouch? You should post a picture!

Just looking at the directions has me a little lost! I think I'm hopeless!!

Re: Cry Packets

Hi Girls, I made the ones in the picture above, I basically used the Martha Stewart instructions, but they were a little confusing. I said to FI, 'I can't believe I'm college educated and can't fold the paper to match the instructions'.
You will have to work at it a few times.
I bought the paper a Michaels, it is ivory on the back with the design on front.
I typed my words on the very bottom of the sheet using Word, them inserted the paper backwards so the lettering printed on the back/bottom.
Then when you fold it, as in the instructions ( I modified the dimensions slightly) the white strip across the front looks like a separate strip of paper, but it's the back of the sheet.
I secured it with a piece of tape on the back.
The first 2 or 3 of them try your patience, then it's smooth sailing. I bought the little flowers at Michaels also
Good luck..

Very nice. Hmmn, I don't know if a leaf inside would be too much becaue you have already havleaf on the front of the packet. What type of leaf are you thinking of? I like your cry packets too! I need to go to Micheals!

Re: Cry Packets

I bought the puffs plus, which are pretty thick, so I only put 2 in each. If you buy regular tissues, you could probably put 4 in.
