cry packs?

Maybe this is a silly question but...what are cry packs and do you really need them?

Re: cry packs?

I believe it is an envelope with tissues in it so when people cry they have tissues....honestly, its up to you if you think you will need it. Personally, I am not going to spend the money - I dont think I have a big group of criers!

yeah you really don't have to do them so don't even stress this or consider it if its not even something you think you may want. Personally i don't want to do them.

I did them, but you don't necessarily have to. I have a lot of sensitive people in my family. The waterworks will be flowing

I'm not doing them... just because FH's family is full of hard Austrian mountain women (slight exaggeration) and I don't expect too many tears from them...so if we gave them a pack of tissues, they wouldn't knwo what to do with them

i'm doing them waiting on my vellum packs as we speak, so inexpensive & such a nice touch, there will be a lot of cryers at my wedding including me & FH

I have never heard of those before or ever seen them. IMO I think they are useless. People can just carry their own tissue, lololol

I got them (on ebay) I thought it was a nice touch especially since on the day of my sister's wedding, I really needed a tissue and didn't have one!

if you just switch that group to hard Polish and German women, you have our crowd....

We're not doing them. They're not necessary at all, and I'd much rather spend time & money elsewhere.

I'm doing them just cause I feel like it makes everything so much more personalized, but they are completely not needed

I made them for my church, and everyone loved them. It was a nice touch, and they were gone before we knew it (or so I was told). I made them and it was no big deal. Easy and they were so cute!! I used a label with our names and monogram and velum envelopes from michaels. EASY! Then I tied a red ribbon on the top. They were beautiful!! Go for it!

Re: cry packs?

I am on the fence and leaning towards making them. We were all talking today about how everyone will be crying, (as I write this I am tearing up) I am the first of a generation to get married, first of siblings, FH will be first of his siblings and everyone of our sibs say this will be the only 'wedding' Noone else wants this type of wedding or to get married even. I think that is why the parents are putting so much into it. OK gotta run and geta tissue!

It's an envelope of tissues handed out during the ceremony in case people get teary eyed. Having this is preferable I think.
