Crying towels

Original post by MrHostility

Since everyone will be hysterically crying at my wedding the entire time, should I opt for towels instead of tissues? Or maybe even blankets, it's going to be a long ceremony.

I should ask the church if they have irrigation ditches in the pews, just in case.

I think there was a groom's area and it was taken down because of lack of active grooms. Where is a groom to go these days?

I just think we need to realize that some are more sensitive than others and even though you may feel you shouldn't have to tiptoe around them, you should do it anyway unless you want to start something like this.

there was a grooms area? wonder what they talked about in there...half the ppl here didn't know i was a male...at the end, does it really matter? we all want to wedding of a lifetime and we come here to help each other

Juliet - there was one once - and I begged LIW to bring it back but they refused me!
I think we all need to remember that everyone's opinion matters and we have to try to be a little more understanding....and also remember that this is an online forum and sarcasm is hard to read!!

Sarcasm is SO hard to read online. It's my favorite form of humor but is so lost around here (or in ANY e-mail for that matter)

Sarcasm is my favorite kind of humor (and they say sarcasm shows high intelligence, by the way)

I think people around here take some things way too presonally sometimes. I try not to get insulted by anyone's opinion....unless they are saying bad things about my FH....and then

But your bluntness is what makes YOU lovable. We all have personality traits that people either love or hate.

T- I have a best friend who is just as blunt as you and sometimes her honesty hurts, but after 22 years of frienship, I know when to get upset and when to let it go

It takes many personalities to make this place interesting

I don't think Mr. Hostility originally meant harm yesterday, but he felt snapped at, and so he fought back. Was he right? No. Did it happen? Yes. Will we move on and get back to wedding planning? ABSOLUTELY

Again I say - When did Mr. Hostility ever 'Bash' as Ronnie&Theresa put it, anyones idea? I'd like to see this bashing because I never read anything like it. Please, please enlighten me. All I read was that most men don't cry. That's a far cry from bashing.

Re: Crying towels

He made a silly thread after he was attacked for posting his own opinion - I see nothing wrong with that.
He was told to get off a thread and he did - he went onto his own.
If you don't like it, don't give him your attention.

Wow DRAMA... This entire thing got ridiculously out of hand. I thought this site was for adults who are planning one of the most important day of their lives.

I know it gets stressful but I think a few people need to take a look at how they are acting. Take a minute to re-read something before you post in anger. JMO

Learn to take a joke. If you came on the thread and laughed it off, or acted SLIGHTY human yesterday, things would have been a lot different. For someone with no time for drama, you sure hang around a lot.

This is THE BRIDES HELPING BRIDES FORUM!!!!!!!!!!

hahahahahahahahh!~

Say it again, because we didn't hear you the first 10 times you said it. I mean, it was an original thought when it came from your friends mouth.

Here is what MrHotility said:

This might be good for our mom's, but I wouldn't assume anyone else would be needing them. FW's can say, 'For your tears of sorrow. I'm now part of the family, you can't get rid of me, haha! - Love, Matt'
Notice he said OUR MOM...his and FW's. I don't think thats a big deal...just a joke obviously.

Then:

I doubt most dudes are going to be crying there. I'd never cry at someone elses wedding. Then again, I sometimes wonder how I will stay composed at my own wedding. *Think hostile thoughts* *Think hostile thoughs*
Just his own opinion that most dudes would not cry at a wedding. I happen to agree..most dudes would not I know none of my FH's boys will cry. Now the father of the bride may, brothers maybe...but I don't consider a brides dad or relatives DUDES..I think he was just speaking of average 'Joe the friend' at your wedding. Then another joke at the end there. He was responded to with 'who asked you' I think thats blowing a joke way out of proportion.
I happen to like MrHostility, find his perspective informative, and his jokes pretty funny. Cmon, hes a guy in a mostly girls forum, puts up with all of our personal grooming and makeup and flower threads he can't be all bad right? He's prolly just a big ol teddy bear IRL. Maybe even a closet Martha Stewart lover?
