CT hour & a half

CT hour & a half

What's everyone's feelings on this? FI and I went to a wedding two weeks ago and I've been meaning to post. It was at the Oheka and a friend said that the bride told her the extra half hour was included. Do you think it's necessary?

I'm not going to lie. I personally thought it was dragged out. If my hall 'threw it in' (which you are really paying for it in the price) I think I would add it to the end. That's my opinion. There was not enough seating and not many food stations. If it wasn't FI good friend I would have probably went a little later knowing it was over an hour long.

I would add it to the end of the night, more partying time.

We have it, bc that's just how they do it there. I know there will be plenty of food though! I'm personally thrilled with it, more time for our reception and we should make some of our CH!

At first i was going to do this but i changed my mind bc if umake the CH 1 1/2 then the dinner is only 3 1/2 rather than 4 and almost everywhere u have to pay for extending the reception to 5 1/2 hours or more

well the thing is the hall only throws things in before not at then end.. my BM and my friend who works banquets at high end hotels told me that they usually dont do freebies at the end because it counts as overtime to some staff (union staff) and they have to charge you, whereas in the beginning they probably wont.. so for instance my RH threw it in as well.. and I really wanted it because we are getting married there and need the extra time to take pics.. plus its open bar and there will be a cigar roller so everyone will have a good time, IMO

I don't think it's necessary if you aren't getting married at the RH. One of the RHs we looked at offer this standard, but because of start times and stuff, the wedding wouldn't have ended till 1:30, and we thought that was just way too drawn out of a day.

Well, if it's added to the end then music has to be added etc. I don't know. I just found it dragged out. I guess for the bride and groom it's good b/c it gives them time to take pictures and go to their ct hour, but I found that the guests were getting a little impatient. Could have been that it was also way too cold to go outside on the grounds. Maybe if it was a nicer day we would have been able to walk around the gardens.

I like your idea. Ask them if they can add it to the end.

Our CH is 1 1/2 hours and our reception is still 4 hours.

So we will be getting 5 1/2 hours

I too would rather have the extra time added to the reception but then again if there was seating, and enough food and drinks during the CH hey another 1/2 hour would be cool.

personally i dont feel that an extra 30 mins to the cocktail hr is going to feel dragged out at all if this is what you want to do. we wanted to have the extra time in our reception so we added an hour there.

I would add the extra time towards a Viennese hour but not an extended CH.

i think that an hour and 1/2 is a little long. An hour is just long enough to keep ur guests waiting on the next room!

I am so excited that my CH is 1 1/2 - I have a steel drum Band on the Water with full Seafood Boat with full lobsters - Cant Wait

I am so excited more time to talk to the guest and then 4 Full hours of reception - I cant Wait -

I think sometimes the best part is the CH
