Cucumbers for Eyelids (Does it help?)

Has anyone ever done this to help dark circles under eyes? How long do you leave on lids? Do you do this for 1 day 2 days, three days, a week? Anyone have any help on this subject, please reply.

Thanks.

its not the actual cucumbers but the temperature of them and the convenience of the size of them.
you might want to use a cold/frozen eye mask - you will get the same effect.

A frozen spoon (metal) used back side toward eye or ice on a cold towel also works. Preshy's right...it's the coldness that works. Cold tea bags also work.

Skin Care Myth:

Cucumbers on eyes
----------------------
Cucumber contains a special ingredient that helps to reduce swelling around the eye or bags under the eyes.

Pleasantly cooling, but no sorcery involved!

Fact: More than 90% of the cucumber consists of water. It is the cooling effect of the water in the cucumbers on eyes, together with increased humidity, that reduces the swelling. Some products contain extracts of cucumber, which in high concentration may help to improve the hydration of the skin. Gentle massage also helps.

I had bad undereye bags and recently got restylene injections to get rid of them. It works great! I am very happy. I posted about it on NWR a while back.
