Oh gosh...they called me about 16 different times within ONE day. I listened through the first phone call, told them I couldn't make it, then they called a bunch more times and I finally answered and flipped out on the woman told her to remove me from whatever list I was on from every single operator they have making the calls...I received another 2 calls. I didn't feel like being locked in a room and hearing about kitchenware.

Ugh! I got that phone call a few months ago, as did one of my friends. I'm sure I don't need to tell you that it's a scam to get you to buy their products....

This is a scam. I actually went to one of these shows because they told me I won a free honeymoon. I have learned my lesson. Never again.

What happened??! I got that call today too and I figured you sit through a thing and then you get a hotel deal or something. I just have better things to do and I don't really need a couple nights somewhere with all the rules and everything.

The show I went to was for 'Chef Master.' It was basically 90 minutes of a guy trying to sell you something. The catch is - that this is the guy who gives you the 'free honeymoon' (which is actually only 2 nights at one of the hotels they offer.) So we sat through the thing, told the guy we didnt want to buy his $500 pots and pans, and got our 'voucher.' Then when we got home, there was a whole bunch of limitations on the voucher, and its only good for a year and you have to do a few mail-ins to extend it, etc. It was a headache and I'm mad I wasted my time. I threw out the voucher and decided I'd rather spend a little more and avoid any more hassle or disappointment.

I know this is an old thread, but I just got the call. The only company I gave my # to was David's Bridal. I know they already shared it with Mens WearHouse - no surprise there. I'm guessing they gave it to Culinary Brides. Does that apply to anyone else?

I recently got the same call. Funny they said they got my info from Davids Bridal and I haven't been in a davids bridal since my sister's wedding 10 years ago.

I got the call too, last week. They told me that they got my info from using the knot.com or liweddings.com. I quickly went online to see if it was a scam. I ended up not going to the meeting. Sounded a little fishy to me.

i actually went to one a few months ago. firstly- it's a scam. they try to sell you like 1000+ dollar pans. but... it actually was kind of interesting and we got to sample some food. so if you're bored.. it's something to do. but don't expect to actually use their 'prizes' (those are absolutely a scam)

Re: culinary brides
I wouldnt doubt davids bridal gave info away. I hate that place. The girl never called me back after the first conversation so I know it wasnt something that was real. If it was they would have pushed the prize a little harder
