cupcake cake topper ...?

ok, is this stupid or cute?

i'm looking for a cheap cake topper alternative .... how about a set of bride & groom cupcakes?

These would be on a 3 tier wedding cake so i just don't know if it's overkill or not ....

tried attaching it earlier but it was too big ... it's there now (i don't have a sample of it on top of a cake though so use your imagination)

The cupcakes are soooo adorable, they are too cute to eat!

Buuuut, I don't think I would put them on top of the cake, I feel like they would look out of place on a cake.

Maybe you can find another place to put them?

and you dont even have to do cake on top, it can just be styrofoam covered in buttercream or fondant

I think they are adorable! But if you are looking for a cake topper why not make it a cupcake that would be the top tier? and decorate it like half bride half groom? ...............I dnt know I just have strange ideas sometimes
