Cupcakes?

Cupcakes?

FH and I are talking about having cupcakes instead of an wedding cake..

Do you ladies think this will be too cheesy or can it be done in a classy way?

PS..We are also thinking of having a chocolate fountain..

A friend of mine's brother did that at their vineyard wedding. They were sunflower cupcakes instead of a wedding cake. They were a big hit!

i think a cupcake cake is awesome! we're actually considering doing one...but we'll see..but no its no cheesy at all!

There's nothing wrong with it. I noticed alot of brides are doing the cupcake thing.

I think theyre a great idea! I wanted to do them but they were much more expensive.

Really?! Wow..We are trying to save money so we can have a longer honeymoon and figured cupcakes would be cheaper...

We may have to get a 'regular' cake then!

I think it was more expensive because they have to decorate each one rather than just a few on a big cake. I could be wrong, but thats what I was told.

my cousin did this - it looked really cool. the only 'issue' was that some of the older folks complained that they didnt' get a piece of cake. they didn't get that the cupcake WAS the cake. so you might want to put someting on your menus that state that instead of doing traditional wedding cake you are doing cupcakes.

my fi and i are doing individual apple and pumpkin pies.

I actually LOVE the idea ~ I think it is cute...I was thinking of possibly doing this also!

We're actually doing a cupcake tier. And, a small wedding cake for us.
