Has anyone had cupcakes for their rehearsal dinner? DH thought it was a good idea, but he doesn't like the ones with a lot of frosting in the center. I don't know where to start looking. Any suggestions?

Re: Cupcakes
does your RH used an outside baker? If they do I would contact that baker and see if you can get a discount on the cupcakes.

What a good idea. The bakery is Audrey's. I hear good things about their cakes, but I have not heard whether or not they make cupcakes (its not on their website).

I've heard about Crumbs, and their is one nearby. Only the person who told me about t Crumbs said that when she bit into the cupcake she got a mouthful of frosting (in the middle of the cupcake). Was this your experience as well or was it just the cupcake that my friend bit into? TIA

Re: Cupcakes
Crumbs cupcakes are delicious but they have very heavy frosting. Martha's Country bakery cupcakes are amazing ! They have locations in Bayside and Forest Hills.

I guess they are a little heavy on the frosting but they do have cupcakes that aren't cream filled. If you look at there website you can see all the different flavors they have, along with pictures of the cupcakes. HTH

Re: Cupcakes
if you're willing to make a trip to the city i HIGHLY recommend Sugar Sweet Sunshine. Their cupcakes are AWESOME! moist and just enough frosting. I believe they're $1.50 a piece.

sugar sweet sunshine is delish!
crumbs cupcakes are like mini cakes - for example, their apple pie cupcake has apple pie filling in it. they have regular ones too, but if you're going to crumbs and spending $5 a cupcake, you should go all out.
if you're anywhere near brooklyn - little cupcake is awesome.

That's a great comment about the 'mini cakes' I hear a lot of good things about little cupcakes. Thank you for this info!
