Cupcakes for favor...where to get them?

Hey everyone,
I really like the idea of having edible favors. I decided I'd like to do cupcakes. I was just wondering if you ladies have any ideas where I can find good, affordable cupcakes?

Thanks!!

you can ask your baker whose making your cake.

Sugar Sweet Sunshine has the best cupcakes and they're 1.50 each!

i wanted these too for my RD. I emailed the lady who makes them and she wanted about $400-500 for 50 of them. I thought it was alot for just 50 of them. For my e-party i did cupcake favors and had 150 guests and spent ALOT less than that. THey look great but if you need ALOT of them it will get VERY pricey. It was about $7-8 each plus theres also shipping charges

I bought cupcakes as a favor for e-party from Martha's country bakery, its my favorite. I like it much better than magnolia's or buttercup in the city. The guy worked with me on the price and gave them to me at a little over $1 each. I paid just a little over $200 for 150 of them. Normally if you buy the individual ones they are more but since i got so many he was nice and gave me a good price.

I know i really wanted them too and was excited about the idea. Then when she emailed me back the price I said OH NO!!!! lol. It would've been a good price if i was getting lots of cupcakes but that much for just 50 of them I felt was way too much. They look delicious and are cute but $7-8 each plus like $50 shipping charge or something like that, i said forget it.

I do want to get just a few for myself to try. Get like 10 or so lol

Just wondering how did you 'display' (for lack of a better word) the cupcakes??
Thanks!

Mrs. Espo...it's only a matter of time before we run into each other on Ditmars

I plan on handing out Martha's cupcakes after the wedding. I haven't talked with them yet- did they box them for you or did you provide the boxes? If the latter, where did you get them?

TIA!!!!

My sister in law got my shower cupcakes from Riesterer's. They were delicious and I think they were about $1.00 each! They were Red Velvet.

We had cupcakes instead of a cake for our wedding. Got them from My Little Cupcake in Farmingdale. Everyone loved them - they were delicious cupcakes. The owner's daughter is super easy to work with. Definitely check them out - it will be more than worth it!

www.theperfectcupcake.com has adorable yummy favors! They start at $3.50 each. I know the owner and have tasted almost all of the flavors and they are insanely delish!!! She's new to LI and had some great write-ups so far with the cupcake blogs.

You can get organic for a bit more $$ or non-organic for starting $3.50 I think.
