Has anyone been to Curacao?
Any advise on where to stay?
Thanks.

My cruise stopped there. It's beautiful! It's great for snorkeling and diving. It's a pretty laid back island and not much to do.

Re: Curacao

I lived there for an intersession in law school and absolutely loved it. We stayed right near the Marriot and the Hilton. We used the pool and the beach at the Hilton every day, and spent an inordinate amount of time in the Marriot casino. The Marriot is more upscale, but the Hilton, in my opinion, has a much better beach. There is also the Hotel Kura Hulanda, which is probably where I would choose to stay for a honeymoon, as it is smaller, and very luxurious.

Another great option is the Floris, which has a really cool European hipster kind of vibe. That is the hotel my program was run out of, and I really liked it.

I would probably chose to stay on that side of the island, just because it is closer to town than where the Breezes is, but that is just my preference. Feel free to FM me if you have any other questions.

Good luck!

Re: Curacao

I was there 2 years ago and stayed at the Marriot. We had gone to Aruba the year before which was all tourists so this was a big change. There is a lot to do and the locals are all very friendly . If you go i would recommend renting a car for at least a day and driving around all the beaches. they are gorgeous. ALso, if you are somewhat adventurous there is a park w/a really big mountain you can climb...the view from the top was amazing! if you have any questions, feel free to ask.
