Re: Cures for Rough Upper Arms!

I've always had problems with that area, I like to use St. Ives medicated apricot scrub. It comes in the white tube with the blue cap. It seems to work, plus I Always moisturize after I shower.

Hope this helps!

I don't have the red bumps, but I have terribly dry, wrinkly elbows!

Would AmLactin work for that too? I don't always have time to moisturize after showering, so I'm sure that doesn't help.

My little sister is using the dermadoctor stuff and it doesn't seem worth the money. There isnt a cure for the bumps but just keep moisturizing. They are genetic as well. My father gave it to me!

i spent 36.00 on this stuff too but after applying on and off for a month i havent seen a real improvement.

Im so embarassed about my arms but at least I know im not the only ones who have this.

I've used AmLactin- it works if you use it every day. I HATE these bumps....

i have been to several dermatologists about this and they all say something different --some say to scrub the area and others say not to --it is definitely genetic and has nothing to do with being overweight...

i use a cream called LacHydrin --if I use it everyday, it makes the bumps less noticeable --there is no 'cure' for the bumps unfortunately...

I am actually going to school to become an esthetician and basically what you need to do is exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate. The bumpiness is due to clogged up pores and is common for people to get it on the back of their arms. Get a good body exfoliant and exfoliate away.

Good luck.

what Ive found helps alot is to use Aveeno daily cleansing pads - the greenish jar with an exfoliating side to them.

I use that KP duty from dermadoctor and it helps make it less bump and the red dots are getting smaller

Hi, I'm bringing up this post again because its summer and I'm sick of having people ask what is on my arms! For those of you who used AmLactin with success, how long have you been using it? Have you seen a decrease in the effect, or does it still work? Thanks!!

Also, has anyone tried KP duty by Dermadoctor?

I am still using Amlactin and it is still effective. I saw results probably within 2 weeks or so.
