actually i was just thinking about your post and its funny bc i always tell people that what i had imagined before i even though of marriage is actually not what i ended up with...when you dont really plan and just if you watch a show or see a magazine and say what you want, you dont put as much thought into it and the overall look. I had always said that i will use yellow roses for cp's, not doing that at all, when i was younger thought id want a horse carriage and didnt even consider it now just not what i like anymore. I remember seeing i think t-boz's wedding in the magazine in style and it was all white and peach accents and also said i would do that. So hmmmm guess not doing alot of things i thought i would but thinking about it now i like my choices better now and what i ended up with. So its not that i wont have the dream wedding i always dreamed of just that my taste is so different now.

but most important to me was finding someone who made me want to get married, i wasnt in a hurry to get married or crazy about the idea of marriage. I wanted a big party with my FH and loved ones and everybody just having a great time, thats what is one thing that hasn't changed and matters most

i never really dreamed of what my wedding would be like - i wasnt one of those kids who always wanted to be a bride and had their wedding planned since the age of 10 - it wasnt until after FH and i started talking about marriage that i really began thinking about what type of wedding i would want - before him i never even thought i would get married! hahahaha!

i honestly think that our wedding day is going to be more than i ever expected or hoped for - everything that i really really want we are going to have and we've booked some amazing vendors that we are both excited for. im also really excited about the time of year we chose - its something a little different and i can't wait to see how it turns out...i just can't wait for it to all come together!

this is a great question. We definitely scaled down from what I would want because of financial reasons but I still consider myself so lucky to even have the type of wedding I am having.

i totally agree to that.. im very lucky to be having the wedding that we are but just never thought it would be this big huge extravaganza

I never was one to dream of how my wedding would be but with my personality this big to do wasn't it. However, I do love the day i'm planning and with this new dream I haven't had to sacrifice too much to have it so we're happy

i thought it was going to be terrible and i hated every second of the planning

but honestly once that day was over..it was the best day ever and it was my dream

my wedding was perfection

i changed a few things that i dreamed about as a little girl, no cinderella carriage LOL i never thought i would do blue etc. but overall it was exactly what i wanted

the ONLY thing i would change is that i would have LOVED to get married on my tenth anniversary which was Jan 16th- but that was in the middle of the week - i still like that anniversary better than my wedding one LOL

nope not at all!!! my dream wedding would have been a destination wedding or a very intimate family thing... I got a 180 people invited and are about 20k over budget

me too! but somehow or another i will me my wedding, even if its after we are married!

Not really...
Well when I was young I waned to get married in NY in the fall... that s happening at least!

once we got engaged I wanted to have about 50 friends in a vineyard during the day!!! instead it's at night in a hall with 175 invited!!! At least the ceremony is outside, even though it'll be dark and maybe cold (I don't care lol)

Oh well. I guess the important part is ghat we're getting married!!

i think mine i going to be pretty close.. I always knew i wanted to marry FH and I awalys envisioned it.. but to be honest i envisioned the whole church. walking down the aisle part NEVER the party part. so all that is just an extra bonus.

i am happy to be marrying the most wonderful man and this all that really matters when it comes down to it

I realized that this whole process is great and yes I want things certain ways - but thats just because we are having the wedding and the recep in the end i know that all that really doesnt matter.

Good question. I honestly never dreamed of my wedding or had any expectations. I am happy with the choices I have made. I wasn't very 'girly' as a child so I didn't play with dolls or play dress u and pretend to get married. I always thought that I would get married in a church and I'm not but that's really not important to me anyway. I am just very happy and excited to marry FH and I get reminded of that everyday when he leaves his shoes in the middle of the floor and I trip on them or stub my toe

FH and I originally wanted Memorial Day weekend, which is when we were engaged. However, my brother is still in college and he plays Division 1 Baseball and Memorial Day weekend is playoffs. So, if I had my wedding then, my brother wouldn't be able to attend.
