curious

Did anyone elses mom go and order a dress without you there? I asked my mom two weeks ago if she wanted to go looking and she wasn't going to look for a dress until after new years. Well I come home today to find out that she and my sister went out today looking for dresses and ordered one. She didn't even take advantage of the discount she would have gotten if she had gone to the place I got my dress from. She just up and did her own thing without even asking my opinion. She didn't even tell my anything except she got a dress. I had to ask what color it was. She told me the color and nothing else. HELLOOOOOO? Does it appear that I don't care or something about my WEDDING?!?!?!?!

LOL maybe she is trying to be independent?

I would ask to see it just to be sure you like it.

My mom and FMIL got their dresses without me. That's fine, since I got my dress with no one there.

That's funny! My mom wants me to take her and she won't order one without me. But I'm glad to go with her.

I am just ticked that I asked her LAST week and she had no time in the world, but she asked my sister to go today while I was at work. Just don't think that is right at all!

Bonnie Jean, I can totally relate....I went w/ my mom to one place & she tried on a number of dresses & then I found pictures of one that I absolutely loved---when I showed her my dad said, its nice but mom is very close to buying a dress---its down to 2 choices. I truly thought he was kidding b/c they weren't around most of that week & wouldn't have had the time.

Then I spoke to my mom a week later & she told me she bought a dress w/ my dad. I was kinda hurt I think or just felt left out--I don't know.

Now, a month later I did see the dress & its very pretty & my mom is happy & that is what truly matters.

to you b/c I do understand.

I know how you feel. My mother bought a dress for a November '06 wedding. It is GORGEOUS!!! I did however think she would buy a new dress for my wedding. Well, her friends, my SIL, and my sister all said it is soooo beautiful she should wear it to MY wedding.

It is GORGEOUS, but . . . . . . . .
She asked how I felt about wearing it for my wedding, considering she already wore it to someone else's wedding. How could I say no don't wear it, buy something new????
