Curly Hair

Original post by M_J

So, I happen to be one of the girls who actually likes her curly hair! Anyone else out there? I am trying to find someone who will work with my own curls and not suggest that I blow it out and use a curling iron. I was thinking about trying to find someone who works at a 'curly hair salon' in the city but dont know of anyone... Suggestion for hair people. I am looking for someone who will travel to Roslyn. Please?? Here is my hair. I am going to wear it all up...

Re: Curly Hair

I've been going to see Ana at Devachan in the city (I live in Manhattan but am getting married on LI). If you've never heard of them, you have GOT to try it - your hair looks so incredible afterwards! NO frizz, and it grows out so beautifully that you really only have to go 2 or 3 times a year.

I would love to find someone who would be willing to travel to Stony Brook who's trained to style per Devachan - I have almost all the products and the hair dryer, but for some reason (of course!) when I do it myself it just never looks as good. I am also hoping to do a half-up look and want it to stay all day instead of me fussing with hair combs like I normally am.

If anyone knows of someone willing to travel east early on a Sunday morning (YUCK, I know!!) for a reasonable price please let me know! (Mitzi - I will even pay YOU if you are Deva-trained and available!! )

LOL! I am deva-trained but doing wedding hair is not my thing.
But good news, I spoke to one of my Deva-friends/stylist and she told me she is willing to travel to Long island. So if you or anyone is interested Let me know and I will FM her information. She has a little over 8 years working at Devachan and she is a great stylist!

Re: Curly Hair

thanks so much. I think I'm going with the chignon instead of it half down. I was very impressed how she maintained my curl. I washed and styled it the night before and she really worked well with my curl
