Curly haired girls who have had their hair trials..

Did your hair stylist wash your hair the day u went for ur trial? Or did u wash it right before you went so that it was partially dry when you got there? or did u wash it the day before?

I washed mine the night before and only put a little leave-in cond in it to tame the frizz.

i had mine already blown out so that it had no kinks in it ....smooth surface for her to work with.

I booked my trial for Feb 6. I think I'm going in with it blown out straight and have her curl it so my curls are smooth. I'm doing an updo so I don't want to work with my own curls.

I would love to know who everyone with curly hair is using

If anybody wants to come forward with any suggestions, please let me know as well! My hair is sooooooooooooo long now that most of my curls are waves, but that makes me even more nervous that it's not going to hold!

I went in with it washed from the night before. I had a couple of trials that they washed it that day and others that worked with it as is...which was curly and they did what they needed to do with it. I had a hair person tell me that I shouldnt wash it for like 3-4 days before which was stupid. Most said was it the night before.

if i dont put gel/hair spray in my hair it frizzes to no end and i look like i belong in the jackson 5

I didnt put anything in it. I just put it in a bun and I wet it down so it wasnt that bad. If I did put something in it would was a little frizz ease but thats it.

That is what I did.. i washed it the day before my trial (in the morning) - and flat ironed it.. so it was already tame and straight (ish) for her to work her magic.

I put a leave in conditioner. If i didn't put anything in it, it would be a bad scene the next morning.

My girl did suggest to me that the night before the wedding to wash my hair and either put a leave in or creme gel in it. She said to put it in a loose twist or a bun so that the curls would stay. HTH

Any time I have ever gotten my hair done, there has always been product in it. There is absolutely no way I could go there with out product in my hair. It just wouldn't work. I usually wash it day of, put product in. If it still wet, she blow drys it a little.
