I did'nt-- I freaked out , and felt like everything I was doing was wrong...Then one day my little man looked up at me and smiled and lauged and I knew I was doing everythign right -- for us. Everyone has different versions of what a ' good' mom will be . You do what feels right -- and I know you will be a great mom !!!

I'm with you Theresa. I'm so scared I will be a bad mom in some way and give my child a whole bunch of problems to work out later in life!
does anyone not have at least a few small issues b/c of their parents?

When you look into your childs eyes & see a that little precious, helpless being. You just know that there is nothing you wouldn't do for them. Every mom makes mistakes but, soon you realize the things that you thought were hard become a breeze. You get new tests of your mom skills almost every day. Again, they are worth everything!!
Karen...I hear you...I actually worry that I will raise a serial killer!!! lol

LOL!! I'm not worried about raising a serial killer, but I'm worried about raising a child who ends up having low self-esteem, or because I'm nervous by nature, I'm afraid I will raise a child to be fearful. Things like that....

All you can do is give your child the basics and go from there. My biggest rule is that happy parents make happy children. You have to take time to spend with your children without losing yourself.
T- You seem like the type of woman who goes after what she wants and being a good mom is a wonderful goal!

You never 'know' that you're going to be a good mom. You do your best to instill good values into your child, and love them unconditionally. I have to say that I feel like being a mom is the first thing in my life that I've TRULY done right. I could go on and on about this topic, but I'll stop here

You never 'know' that you are going to be a good Mom. You just go with your gut. You expect to make mistakes, but you learn very quickly from them. Then you notice how intently your child stares at you and does not care about the mistakes - all they care for is you!
