Ok girls, I was very excited about Lestans, then I google the bad news..I went anyway...I figured I would try it out since its very close to my mother's house. I feel in love with the first dress I tried on. I was skeptical so I tried on about 100 more, but rest assured ....Ive been struck with the curse of the first dress...
I love it...the pics don't do it justice. But it is very much my style.
By the way Lestans does have wonderful service.!! I was with Effie and she was wonderful.
There was one crazy lady in there..but I didn't pay her any mind.
Im getting a different veil from another store by the way.

Hmm... I live in Brooklyn and was all set to go to Lestan's, but, man is there a lot of terrible stuff about them on the internet.
Then one of my BMs, who is getting married herself in October, bought her gown there and said they were great. I'm glad to hear you had a good experience there as well - now I'm really going to go check them out.

Not going to lie., there was one nasty girl there...SHE WAS KINDA OFF.
I think they sent her home...but she was just a helper not a sales assistant . Try Lotus on Avenue U or Kelly's Creations on 18th Avenue. I am going there also just to try others.

I didn't know there was bad stuff about them on the internet...I guess I need to do some research! But I think I know the crazy lady you're talking about...was she black? She worked with me the only time I went there and she kept putting me in all of these 80s style dresses that I didn't want and pushing her opinions on me... ridiculous!

Yes she was black. She was crazy. I had a 7:30 appointment, another girl had a 6:30 appointment and she was pissed because noone was fitting her.
Then the lady was like screaming at her that she wasnt there on time and then she told her boss that she wasnt helping her.
I dont know what was her problem.

Woowww...that's crazy...she's definitely overly aggressive...I told her I wasn't really looking for a tulle dress and she was like 'what?? you're insane! this tulle dress looks much better than the other ones you've tried on' If I wanted her opinion I would have asked for it! She's definitely nuts! But anyway, did that veil in the pic come from lestans too? I like it!

But I think it would take away form your dress though...like you said, you're dress would look better with a plainer veil..

Yes it did., but I'm not sure I like the lenght or the lace. Everyone was saying it makes the dress., but I want a long veil because the dress is not very long.
