Curve Questions?

Curve Questions?

All I know about Curves is it concentrates on circuit training. How frequently do you go? How much does it cost? Also have people found great results from it? Also any other info you think would be beneficial for me to know-Thanks in advance!

Re: Curve Questions?

i think it's $49 a month and $75-$150 to sign up.
i go twice a week, but they recommend 3 times....i just dont' have the time .
i love going becuse it's short and i don't have to really think about it because they tell you what you should be doing in what order.
however, many people find the limited hours a drawback

Re: Curve Questions?

I am a personal trainer, and must say that I'm not particularly fond of the whole 'curves' thing. I do commend all those who are exercising...but, i think there's more to working out than a circuit. Of course, it's better than nothing...but why pay $50 a month to only do a circuit?? Join a gym that lets you do whatever, whenever you want. Cardio is a HUGE part....classes are a blast....most memberships come with a few personal training sessions. Some gyms even have a curves-type program, but let you come do your cardio, yoga, pilates, kickboxing, etc... Your body will get used to doing the same workout over and over...you need variety!! It just takes a little determination. If any of you live out East, I know the perfect gym for you....it's perfect for women who want an immaculate, social, anti-meat market gym. Email me if you want more info. They are developing a circuit-training workout...but, those who want to come to do cardio or a class can do that too....for the same price as CURVES!!!! Trust me, any woman will love this gym!!

Re: Curve Questions?

Not many women can devote the amount of time to a typical gym that has classes and etc. I started curves a few weeks ago and have listened to all the women talk about the amount of inches that they have lost off of there body. I have been trying to go 5 days a week. It's only $39. a month with about $75 sign up fee. They have weigh ins every month to see your progress. Everyone is verrrry nice there. You can always go for a trial run and see if you like it. For me, it is great. I have two kids that need most of my time, along with my business, a husband the PTA etc.......Hope it helps..

Re: Curve Questions?

Sometimes they run ads in the local paper with free sign-up fee and its $39.00 a month.
I have been going 4-5 days a week and have noticed a huge difference in my body just after 1 week.
some people love it and some people dont.
give it try
i love it

Re: Curve Questions?

I've been going 3 days a week and I love that I know after 30 minutes I can go home guilt free. When I was at a regular gym, I always felt like I should be there longer or take another class. After my first month, I lost 1' in my hips and 1' my abs. I just feel good and it fits in my schedule better than a regular gym. Just like the different diets (low carb, high carb, certain foods etc), there will always be better exercise techniques (all cardio, Tae Bo, The firm, Curves). The key is, find what you like and works for you.

Re: Curve Questions?

Pale bride,
The 3 days is easy because my son is in preschool and daughter is in kindergarden. As for the other 2 as long as hubby comes home from work in a good mood I try to go. I don't realy feel sore. Sometimes in the knee, have had two surgeries in the past. As far as tired, complete opposite, I have all this energy and sometimes don't know what to do with it. My first weigh in is in the midle of October. Hopefully it goes well.

Free sign up sounds good!

If anyone sees the coupon for free sign-up, can you let me know through this chit-chat board? By the way, is there a contract you have to sign?

Re: Curve Questions?

Just my opinion, but I Love it, its faster than the gym...I used to go to a regular gym and this is just much better for me personally. The better in shape you get the harder you are able to work the machines and the recovery pads are good for cardio too. I go at least 3x a week and do brisk walks the other days. My program feels very well balanced with cardio, strenth and stretching. I have lost inches and pounds and I just feel much better. Best gift I ever gave to myself!
