Custom Veil

Custom Veil

Hi all, I am looking for a seamstress to make a custom veil for me. My mother passed a few years ago, and I would like to have the lace from her dress appliquéd onto my veil. Does anyone know of someone who does work like this? Unfortunately, I got my dress at David's Bridal so they had no suggestions, and their alterations won't do it.

Thanks much for the help!

You can see if Barrons in the tri-county mall can help you. That's where a lot of girls go for their veils, and they make them themselves.

you could try bridal styles in brooklyn. all their veils are custom and they are great to work with and reasonably priced.

Ok. For those of you who went there and wanted a DETACHABLE or velcroed chapel or cathedral veil, did they just tell you to get two veils, a long and short one, with TWO combs and remove the long veil later for reception, and that velcro was not the way to go?

I am very confused since other places say they use velcro.

I don't think I am comfortable with wearing two veil combs and having to pull one out. It might wreck the hair or look too bunched up at the top with the two combs

Bridal reflections holds a veil 'party' once a month ( i have an appointment to meet with a designer.) I would encourage you to contact them as see if you can get an appointment, if you live on LI? In the mean time I will try and get the name of the designer. Velcro is possible!
