Just wondering about how much a CZ ring should cost. I would like to have a replica of my engagement ring made so that i can wear it all the time. And did you go to the same jeweler where you bought your e-ring?

OK, I'm confused... you want a fake version of your ring?? Why can't you wear the ring all the time? I mean, I will take mine off if I go to the beach or something but that's rare and I just leave it in the safe at home. I have Insurance on the ring incase I lose it... I'm just confused...
I guess you could have a copy made by a jeweler but I don't know if they do that kind of thing.

Re: CZ Engagement Ring
Have you checked QVC.com? They have a product called diamonique that looks exactly like diamonds..better than CZ. Check it out and see if they have a style similar to your E-ring.

I've read other threads that say they bought them off EBAY or overstock.com. Someone raved about how nice the overstock.com ring was.

i'm confused too. wouldn't you want to wear YOUR ring all the time rather than a replica?
you can definitely have a jeweler make you a copy of your ring, you can call around for some quick quotes.

She probably have 10 carats diamond but I'm also confuse why need a replica.... I suggest have it insured if bad thing happen (god forbid) you always have a cover.

Re: CZ Engagement Ring
I just couldn't imagine wearing a replica of my ring-I need to have the real deal on. If you're worried about something happening to the ring or diamond itself- diamonds are the strongest around- they can take a good beating Or are you worried about having something expensive on your finger??

Re: CZ Engagement Ring
many people decide to make replicas of their rings so they dont worry about something happening to it or getting lost or stolen when they travel or just go to the supermarket, etc. and wear their real e-ring in the evening when they go out somewhere fancy.
I asked my jewler how much it would cost to make a replica of my ring w/CZ and it was something i really wanted to do initally but then i decided not to do it, he qouted me way to high so i said no thank you. Wasnt worth it to me. FM if you want more details.

I agree! i've always thought about doing this also! but its scary because don't mix the real one up with the fake one!! i decided not to ultimately because of what my 'exact ring' symbolizes..i have it insured!! definately insure your ring!

i wanted a copy of my actual ring because we travel alot and i wouldn't necessarily want to take it abroad with me. also, working with preshoolers and constantly getting my hands dirty and paint. :) i know there are a few ppl on here who have copies. thanks girls.

Thats exactly the reason why I looked into wearing a replica..throughout the day (teaching) my hands are dirty constantly...and I didn't want to inflict so much wear and tear on my ring.

I hear ya!
I'm not a teacher, but we travel a lot and are very active. So, FH even suggested doing something like that. Even though the ring is insured, there are no worries in the event it gets lost or gets ruined while traveling or doing activities.

Re: CZ Engagement Ring
FH actually got a replica of my ring made because he knows how clumsy I am. When he was designing the ring, he had the jeweler make a mock-up in white gold and picked up CZs that matched the size and approx clarity of my diamonds. However, he did make small changes in the design of the two rings so that I could tell the difference. It was such a lifesaver. I only wear the real one on special occasions, and I wear the CZ version every day. It's taken a beating, and is so scratched up..plus I've dropped it sooo many times and banged it into things by accident. I think the other reason why he did it is because I'd have to wait a long time to get a replacement if anything happened to my ring. It took him 2-3 months to design, buy the loose stones, and then get the two rings made...and I'm not sure the jeweler kept the mold after it was done. For the CZ version in white gold with good quality CZs it costs a few thousand...definitely under $5k. HTH!
