Re: Do I have to have a maid of honor?

If you want to have your sisters as your MOH. You can have two MOHs. So that your friends would understand, you can ask your sisters.

Re: Do I have to have a maid of honor?

I was in a wedding a number of years ago where the bride didn't have a MOH. Just 4 bridesmaids. I am having 2 MOH's myself because the three of us have been friends for almost 25 years and since I have no sisters, they basically are that for me and there was no way I could choose just one. I haven't figured out what things each of them will do (ie sign the paper, hold my bouquet during the ceremony, etc) but I figure maybe i'll flip a coin.

Re: Do I have to have a maid of honor?

I have a Maid of Honor, my sister and a Matron of Honor, my best friend. My X-boyfriend had 3 sisters (let's call them Ann, Sally and Jane) in his family. They made a decision when the 1st got married about MOHs.
Ann would have Sally
Sally would have Jane
Jane would have Ann
Maybe you and your sisters could make a decision like that. I would ask my sister over one of the friends if you are really close

Re: Do I have to have a maid of honor?

I'm having two MOH's...actually one is a 'Matron' and the other is a 'Maid' of honor.

I think you can do whatever you want to do. Your friends and sisters will all understand! Tell them you couldn't pick just one, so they're all MOH's!

Re: Do I have to have a maid of honor?

I am having two MOH...I have two sisters one is older and one is younger. My older sister is married so she will be my Matron of Honor and my younger sister will be my Maid of Honor. I could never choose between them

Re: Do I have to have a maid of honor?

I'm not having a MOH. I feel the same way - I cant pick one friend over another and I have no sisters. I was in a wedding in June and she didnt have one either. I dont think its a big deal not to have one.

Re: Do I have to have a maid of honor?

I couldn't decide between my three best friends, so I'm having my brother as my 'man of honor' instead, and they are all my bridesmaids!
