I love Tom, but not for this role.

Richard Gere maybe? I imagined the character as more 'distinguished' (gray).

i pictured someone more 'handsome and debonaire.'

from what i read he's not officially Robert Langdon, he's just their top choice...

Yeah, that's the kind of vibe I was thinking of, but I was at a loss for names.

Tom Hanks is too 'nice'

Harrison Ford is too old... this part is physicsl in that their is a lot of action in a few days.

Richard Gere... I think he's lost it. I can't remember the last time he was in a good movie. Remember that one with Winona Ryder... God, it was soooo painfully awful.

Tom Cruise... not the professorial type.

I could see Russell Crowe in the part. He haas the professorial part down and he can do accents very well. He's also young enough to take on such a jet-setting part.

I don't see Tom Hanks in this either. While I was reading it I had 'cast' a younger Harrison Ford, but thats not possible. :(
I'd say an unknown. I really can't picture any other famous people inthat role.

Hmmm....I tried to visualize Robert when I was reading ( I always do this), and I was thinking:

Eric Bana

Has to be good looking but not TOO good looking

I picture him older - you know graying temples and stuff - distinguished.

I think we're missing an age group of hot men - they go from late 20's/early 30's right into the 50's, completely skipping over the early 40's section...

What about Val Kilmer?????
