Dad has passed away. My 3/27 wedding is being postponed. Feeling very down.

My father's cancer spread the last week of February and he passed away on March 11. I can't even express what I am going through right now. He was supposed to walk me down the aisle on Saturday. I feel broken. I'm not even sure why I'm writing this, but somehow I feel that I needed to tell you all since you've been so kind to me.

We are trying to pick up the pieces. My FH has taken control of everything for the wedding. He has rescheduled it to August 1st for us. Our vendors have been so wonderful. They applied all deposits to our new wedding date. I'm scared for that day though...how will I ever get down the aisle without my dad?

Hope all of the other 3/27 brides have a beautiful day. I'll be thinking of you.

I cannot even imagine what you must be going through. I am so sorry for your loss. You will get down the aisle. You dad will be there in spirit.

Oh God, I'm so sorry.

It really good that you're giving yourself some time before attempting to have the wedding without him. I'm glad you came to the board to write-you definitely have a support system here for whenever you need it.
